Electronic Commerce Evaluation

In most cases, E-Commerce evaluation is simply a matter of determining whether your sales increased due to your online activities. You will want to make sure to differentiate sales emanating from your Web site from those of other means. For example, if you do not sell tickets online, but provide information for ordering, you would want to give a discount to buyers who said that they found the information on your Web site. If you use one of the many online ticketing packages, make sure they provide sales statistics for online purchases, as well as mailing list information.

There can be many reasons for poor commercial performance. Many people have indicated that the general population is still apprehensive about using their credit cards online. There are also issues of customs and traditions, ease of use, convenience, and understanding of the product. Your site must provide information about the security of the transaction, about the product, and about the process of the commercial transaction. The site must also provide contact information for any problems or questions.
