After clicking on the button, the download page will appear and a requester will
pop-up asking you where you would like to put the application. It is probably best to choose your desktop.
After choosing the location, click the save button.
The file name is ar505enu.exe, which is short for Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 menu.
The download will occur and place a compressed .exe file on your desktop. The icon is a 3-d red box.
After the download is finished, exit any programs you may be running.
Double click the desktop icon to install.
Choose the folder you wish to install to. In most cases the one that appears in the box is adequate.
Follow the on-screen instruction.
When the program has finished, you will need to click the finish button .
Your computer will be automatically restarted at this point.
After the restart, Adobe Acrobat Reader is fully installed on your computer and you may download the "form" or "application" of your choice from the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission's Grants Website or eGRANT.
The application places a shortcut to the Acrobat Reader on your desktop upon installation. You may keep it or move it to the trash. The initial install icon is also left on your desktop and may be moved to the trash or copied to a floppy or zip disk to install on other computers.
If you continue to experience problems in downloading this software, you may obtain assistance by contacting the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and describing the problem. |
