Funding Opportunities on the Internet

A searchable database provides links to federal, state and private funding opportunities on the internet in archives and records management, history, historic preservation, as well as in the wide variety of subjects interpreted by Pennsylvania's nearly 1000 museums and historical organizations. You may need to download Adobe's free Acrobat Reader to access some references.

Pennsylvania, according to the "Pennsylvania Grants Guide", is the home for over 2000 foundations with assets totally more than $16 billion and is ranked third in terms of foundation assets behind only New York and California. This database contains a sampling of community, corporate and private foundations. The references under Non-Government Funding, Directories and Other General Resources provide comprehensive listings of Pennsylvania's foundations and trusts.

The links in the database are to specific references or types of funding within a particular organization or public agency. Once this material is accessed, you may want to explore the remainder of the website to see if there are opportunities to develop non-traditional partnerships and creative ways to use the funding that is available.

Websites change constantly. It is possible that you will get a no access message. If you do, there is usually a more general funding link that will allow you to enter the website and search for a specific funding reference.
