LOW-COST LOANS

The joint city and county government in San Francisco offers low-cost loans to qualifying non-profit performing arts organizations "for facilities maintenance, renovation and capital improvements so that they may carry on their work in facilities which are in full compliance with all applicable code requirements and with all other requirements which enable the facilities to be used for performing arts." Organizations with budgets of $1 million or less, who work in a space with 50 to 500 seats, and wish to correct any life threatening safety code violations can apply for a loan to bring their facility up to code. Loans are also issued to similar organizations to remodel or acquire performance space under similar conditions.
